Ruth Howard

Ruth Adeline Howard was born August 16, 1921 in LaCrosse, WI, near Rushford, Minnesota and passed away March 6, 2012 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Her parents were Martin O. Kjos and Adeline (Reishus) Kjos. Ruth graduated from Rushford High School in 1939 and Winona State University in 1943. She taught high school in Appleton, Minnesota, after her graduation. Ruth married Wendell I. Howard in August of 1946 and they moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota in 1948. Ruth was active in organizations of Granite Falls Lutheran Church and the Tuesday Study Club.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Terry Howard, of Woodbury, Minnesota. Ruth's husband, Wendell, her parents and five brothers preceded her in death. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 10th at 10:30AM at Granite Falls Lutheran Church, 350 9th Avenue. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Ruth's name to Granite Falls Lutheran Church.
