Goldie, Sally
Died June 27, 2003. Survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Dee Dee) Goldie; son-in-law, Ralph Schwartz; two grandchildren, Max and Sam Schwartz; three sisters; one brother; and a special niece. Preceded in death by husband, Louis Goldie. Sally was born in 1914 in Dindred, ND one of 11 children. She graduated in 1933 from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Fargo and came to St. Paul to work as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Ancker Hospital and in many St. Paul doctors' offices. In 1952 she married Louis Goldie and they adopted their daughter, Dee Dee in 1955. Sally was an active volunteer and leader with the Women's Auxiliary to the Shriner's Hospital and served as Chariwoman of the multistate General Auxiliary. She will always be remembered for her willingness to help others, her creativity, her great sense of humor and her strong love of family and friends. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Osman Woman's Auxiliary to the Shriner's Hospital. Service Wednesday 11am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 South Snelling Avenue. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm at Bradshaw, 678 South Snelling and one hour prior to service at the church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
