Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and volunteer. Passed away November 22 ^nd . Preceded in death by father/mother Arthur/Comeal Harper Anderson, son Robert and sister Edna. Shirley attended Bethel College, Bethesda School of Nursing and served in the Cadet Nurse Corp during WWII. She retired from United Hospital and began a second career of volunteering. She carried the Olympic Torch at age 72, was a WCCO Good Neighbor and received a Red Cross Award for volunteering. Survived by children Rick Simonson, Nancy (Dave) Jorgensen; grandchildren, Cal (Alissa) Jorgensen, Nate Jorgensen, Catherine Simonson, Jacob Simonson; great-grandchildren Jack, Kyle and Reese Jorgensen and by many other relatives and friends. Memorial Service, Friday 11 a.m. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (N.W. Corner of Hwy 36 and Co. Rd. 5) Stillwater. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
