Susan finally won her three year battle with cancer on August 7, when her Heavenly Father took her hand and led her home. She died in peace and dignity at home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother Pat, and is survived by husband Jim, son Ande, stepson Peter (Jessie), father Joe, sister Linda, brother Jerry (Colleen), 4 step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and in-laws, and countless friends. Susan lived a full and exciting life. She was an accomplished writer and a prominent member of the local motion picture industry. She co-founded (with her husband) James Productions, co-founded Energy Park Studios, and most recently, initiated development of the facility for the MIT Charter School. She was a passionate reader to the end, devouring books and newspapers. The last three difficult years of Susie?s life brought out the very best in her. Her love and caring for people grew, her sharp wit became even sharper, and her unselfish heart became even bigger. We will miss her. Memorial service 2 PM, Thursday, August 12, at ST. ANDREW?S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, MN, with a gathering time one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Allina Hospice or Minnesota Oncology Hematology Foundation.
