Ted completed his journey on October 14, 2012 at Boutwells Landing, Oak Park Heights, MN, surrounded by family, and is now celebrating a new life with Jesus Christ. Preceded in death by parents, Merva and Lee Spanner. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sherry; children, Sarah Henke (Brian), Rebecca Schulte (Brian); grandchildren, Bennett and Blake Henke, Lauren and Austin Schulte; sister, Elizabeth Woods of Ishpeming, MI; cousins, Kathy MacTavish of St. Joseph, MI, and Karl Schlabach of MI. Ted graduated from Macalester College in 1958. Owner of Range Firestone, Range Motors, Modern Motors, and proudly established the Spanner family Foundation. Gathering of Family and Friends TODAY, 4-7 P.M. at BOUTWELLS LANDING TOWN HALL, 5610 Norwich Parkway North, Oak Park Heights, MN. Additional Memorial Service to follow Friday, October 19, 2012 in Hibbing MN. Memorials preferred to Courage St. Croix, 1460 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, MN 55082 and First Presbyterian Church, 2201 2nd Ave N, Hibbing, MN 55746.
