Viola Gelford

Gelford, Viola Mae, age 81, of Bayport, died at her home Saturday morning, September 28, 2002. Born in Stillwater on May 6, 1921. Retired from Andersen Corporation and long time active member of Stillwater Seventh-day Adventist Church. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Andrew, Daniel, and Gerald; sisters, Ann Gelford and Dorothy Ridgway; and niece, Ann Ridgway Flug. Survived by husband, Elwood Johnson; stepsons, Tim (Kelly) of St. Paul Park, Todd (Colleen) of Cleveland, TN, and Kent (Terri) of Apopka, FL; sister-in-laws, Eileen Meader, Margaret Hamm, and Roberta Hubert; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday, October 5, 2002 2 PM at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF STILLWATER, 813 W. Myrtle Street, Stillwater. Private family interment. Visitation Friday from 5-8 PM at BRADSHAW, 6061 Osgood Ave. North, Stillwater, and one hour prior to service at church. Memorials preferred to Humane Society for Companion Animals, Minnesota Public Radio and Twin Cities Public Television.
