Died on 8/3/05 after a battle with prostate cancer at the age of 78. Survived by Neacie, loving wife of 57 years; daughters, Susan Herrmann, Leanne (David) Little, Peggy Herum (Kirk Sorensen); and grandsons Andrew and Christopher Little. Also Survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Walter was a former Commander of VFW Post #8901 and enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. ?Uncle Walter? was a favorite of everyone and will be missed. Special thank you to his caregivers at The Pillars in Oakdale. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11:00 A.M. at TRANSFIGURATION CATHOLIC CHURCH 6133 N. 15th Street, Oakdale. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation two hours prior to the Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
