Passed away September 27, 2008. Preceded in death by his father, Warren ?Everett? Stimson and grandson, David MacDonald, Jr. Survived by his loving spouse of 56 years, Bernette ?Bernie? Stimson; children, Pamela Lyons, Cheryl (Michael) Young, Judy Carlson, Warren ?Gary? (Jill) Stimson, Gene (Teresa) Stimson, Gail (Gary) Renteria and Sue (Robert) Schettle. Also survived by his loving mother and step-father, Gladys and Elwood Grove; brother, Gerald (Jacqueline) Stimson and sisters, Audrey (Harold) Douvier and Janetta (Freelyn) Wenzel; 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many wonderful relatives and friends. A celebration of Wayne?s life will be Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 5:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Family will also receive friends following the service. A private family interment ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will occur at a later date, in recognition of Wayne?s service to his country. Memorials are preferred to family.
