Williva Lowell, known as ?Billie,? was born in a town near Eveleth in Minnesota?s Iron Range, on August 24, 1922. There she met her life-long partner, Parker and they married on April 5, 1941. After the war, Billie, Parker, and their two children moved to Duluth, where Billie took a Legal Secretary position at a Duluth Law Firm, Lyons, Nordine and Knitsch. She worked there for more than twenty years, retiring just a few years before Parker. Billie and Parker retired to Boulder City, Nevada. Billie suffered from Alzheimer?s for several years and was most recently residing at Lakeridge Health Care Center in Roseville, Minnesota. Billie passed away on October 2, 2007, preceded by her father, William Mitchell, her mother, Ivy (Stephens), and her husband Parker. She is survived by her sons William and his wife Dana and their children Jessica and Megan, and Charles and his wife Myrt. Memorial service Sunday, 3 PM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E). Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings, MN. Gathering one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the Alzheimer?s Association.
