Age 90, of Lake Elmo, passed away peacefully September 15, 2022

Bruce passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022.  Bruce started working when he was 10 years old on the family farm.  He started working at Lake Elmo Bank after high school but then enlisted into the Air Force.  He was stationed at Reese Air Force Base in California.  He spent 2 years overseas in Japan where he was a Staff Seargent.  He also enjoyed playing baseball and ping pong while in Japan.  After his discharge he returned home and continued to work for Lake Elmo Bank.  He worked there for 62 years.  The last several years of his employment he was Lake Elmo Banks Community Services Officer where he greeted the customers with a smile and hello.  Bruce was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church for his entire life.  He sang in the choir under the direction of his wife Arline who was the choir director.  He loved to sing. Bruce was also an avid golfer.  He belonged to Stillwater Country Club and is an honorary member to this day.  He went on many trips with Arline and groups from SCC to play golf all over the country.  He was thrilled to have been able to go the Masters Tournament. Bruce also traveled the world with his wife, Arline, and his sister, Millie.  To name a few, they traveled to Australia, Germany, and many places in the United States.  He and Arline also loved to go to the Guthrie, Ordway, and Phipps Theaters for plays, shows, and musical entertainment.  He served on the board of Lakeview Hospital for several years.  He was one of the distinguished Alumni for Stillwater High School in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Vera and Erwin, his wife of 58 years Arline, sister Mildred, brother Don, sister-in-law Joan and nephew Dan.

He is survived by his Niece-in-law Kathy (Dan), nephews Doug, Dave (Kathryn), Don (Mary), Dale (Adory), niece Julie, many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial service Tuesday, October 4, 2022, 11:00 A.M.  at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11194 36th Street North, Lake Elmo.  Visitation  Monday,  October  3, 2022, 4:00-7:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment Christ Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Valley Outreach, Stillwater and Lakeview Hospice.
