Daisy Russ

Daisy (Jewett) Russ of Minneapolis, born February 10, 1928, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021 at the age of 92.
She is survived by children Larry Russ, Penny Powelson, Wayne Russ, Roxie (Stan) Rannow; grandchildren, Chris (Elisa) Russ, Renne (John) Ekholm, Jenny (Andy) Kmecik, Joe Rannow, Jessica (Eli Buffalohead) Rannow; great-grandchildren Jake (Alyse Walker) Ekholm, Justin Ekholm, Derrick Brown, Damon Brown, Eli Kmecik, Bella Kmecik, Daisy Kmecik; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by husband Milton Russ; parents Henry and Rose Jewett; siblings, Wesley Jewett, Veretta Jewett, Vernon “Sonny” Jewett, Iona Jewett, Dolly Grangroth, Totten Jewett; daughter-in-law Charyll Russ; son-in-law Terry Powelson; daughter-in-law Cindy Russ; granddaughter Tammy Brown; and great grandson Devin Brown. Daisy was a strong and independent career woman ahead of her time. She was the best mom, grandma, and friend  that anyone could ask for and will be dearly missed by many. The service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, January 28 at Bradshaw Funeral and Cremation Services, 3131 Minnehaha Ave S, Minneapolis. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling following the service.
