Passed away peacefully surrounded by family September 9, 2022.

Dolores was preceded in death by parents Ellen Nicholls, Robert Nicholls (Audrey), and daughter Terri Schmidt. She is survived by loving husband of 72 years, Eugene; children, Paul (Paula), Gayle (Richard) Ressler; 8 grandchildren, Nathan (Janet), Aaron (Dani), Ashley (Brian) Barker, Jacob (Tricia) Ressler, Benjamin Ressler, James (Jen) Heath, Ellen (Nick) Schmidt, Emily Schmidt; 9 great-grandchildren, Brayden Dickinson, Brody Dickinson, Norah Barker, Lucy Barker, Orin Barker, Mackenzie Ressler, Ashton Heath, Annabelle Heath, Avan Heath; nieces, Kathy Dickinson, Karen Cameron; many other relatives & friends.

Dolores was a creative homemaker devoted to her family. She delighted in being with her grand and great-grand children. She was an accomplished seamstress and gardener. She and Gene were travel partners in their 5th wheel trailer for many years, finally settling in Tucson where they kept a winter home for 18 years. For the past 5 years they have resided at Boutwells Commons. She and Gene were members of First Baptist Church of Mpls for their entire married life and had many strong friendships there. Dolores was given exemplary care in the final week of her life by the compassionate staff at Lakeview Hospital.

A gathering to celebrate Gene and Dolores’ life will be held 3-6pm Thursday, October 6th at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with a time of sharing at 5pm. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
