Donald O. Thron "Ducksie"

Age 90, of Stillwater, passed away on September 9, 2021.  He will be sadly missed by his children Steve (Lynn), Tom (Margaret), and Cynthia (Eric) Reberk; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents Emil and Erma Thron, his brothers Willard, Robert, Galen, and sister Caroline.

Donald was born on December 18, 1930 in Woodbury Township.  When he was two his family moved to Afton and five years later moved to Oak Park Heights.  He attended school in Oak Park Heights and Stillwater.  As a young man he worked at the Lowell Inn, Stokely’s Canning Factory, Connelly Shoe Factory and then spent the majority of his career working 38 years at Andersen Windows.

Donald was a proud Korean War veteran fighting on the front lines and proudly served our country.

Donald loved living on his 10 acre hobby farm in Grant, MN where in the early years he had many horses and dogs, tended his large vegetable gardens and in his later years riding his side-by-side John Deere Gator and target shooting on his land. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement going into town for coffee with the guys and will be sadly missed by many.

Memorial service Tuesday, September 14, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment Fairview Cemetery.
