Douglas Johnson

Douglas Charles "Doug" Johnson, age 77 of Stillwater, passed away on January 23 peacefully at home from Lewy Body disease. He is survived by his wife, Diane Johnson; and daughter, Rachel (Mike) Estep. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Johnson; sister, Delores Schommer; and brother, Ralph. He was a quiet, gentle man and when he had something to say it was always with kindness and humor. He had an appreciation for nature and animals. Some of his fondest memories were being at the lake cabin, taking hikes, cutting wood, bike riding, and working on various projects. He worked as a social worker for Ramsey County Human Services. Special thanks to the staff at Lakeview Hospice for the thoughtful and loving care they provided. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date with family.
