Eunice L. Horrisberger
Age 77, of St. Paul, passed away suddenly July 27, 2022.
Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Sally; sister, JoAnn McKean; and niece, Jean.
She will be sadly missed by sisters, Linda Craig and Phyllis Dahl (Scott Barrette); nieces and nephews, Andy (Melissa) Craig, Ben (Sheila) Craig, Ellen (Justin) Lawson, Christine (Justin) Knutson, Pat (Sue) McClung, Brandon (Nancy) McKean, Brent (Nikki) McKean, Jeremy (Carla) McKean; 10 grand nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Eunice graduated from Stillwater High School and Mankato State University. She worked many years for Ramsey County and in retirement at Excel Center and at Target Field for the Twins' games. She volunteered for Minnesota Public Radio at the state fair and theaters in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
She loved keeping up with her nieces' and nephews' lives, always encouraging them in whatever activities they were drawn to.
Eunice lived in downtown St. Paul for more than 20 years. Having city buses and cabs easily accessible made it easier for her to maintain her independence which she likely valued the most. She liked listening to live music - Boz Scaggs lost a loyal fan.
Traveling was a constant in her life for many years - whether with her sisters to Las Vegas or 'up north', or overseas. Some of the places she visited in her travels were: Italy, Scotland, Romania, Poland, Germany, Israel, Mexico, Canada. She never relied on or waited for a companion traveler - many of her travels were solo.
We will miss her quirky comments, her views on current events, and how she loved a good laugh.
