Florence Layer

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Florence Layer, 1936-2022, mother and lifeforce of Dawne Russell, Julie Layer, Deb Walczak, and Coco Millage. Mom survived our loving father, her husband of 64 years, Russell Layer. We’re overcome with grief, but confident she is in the loving arms of her creator. Retired after over 20 years with 3M. A leader and fighter, she was strong, resilient, forward-thinking, and unique. She would no doubt urge us to get on living our lives and continue to do the work we were meant to do. Interment will be June 13 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Meet at funeral home (4600 Greenhaven Drive) at 9:30am for 11:00 interment at the cemetery.
