Kenneth R. “Kenny” Kress

Age 82, of Stillwater, passed away peacefully January 5, 2021,

Preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Pearl; and grandson, Adam Patzner.  He will be sadly missed by wife, Mary Jo; children, Diane (Greg) Palmer, Brad (Mary Jo), Laurie (Matt) Cote and Kathy (Andy) Patzner; grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Peterson and their children, Theodore, Kennedy and Madison, Kyle Palmer, Jenny Kress, Kevin (Katie) Kress and their children, Norah, Mason and Croix, Katlyn (John) Carnemolla, Brian (Jordan) Cote and their daughter, Cedar, Sara (Jake) Dinzeo and their son, Dylan, Logan Patzner and Wyatt Patzner; sister, Gloria Cheska; and many friends.

Kenneth and Mary Jo were married on April 25, 1958.  He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as an usher for 50 years and a lifetime gold member of the Eagles 94 where he enjoyed the Friday night camaraderie with pull tabs and the meat raffle. Kenny was a longtime employee of Union Brass and Metal, School District 834 and the City of Stillwater.  He spent many summer nights as the pitcher of the Pla-Mor Softball Team and was an avid spectator at his grandchildren’s sporting events.  Kenny passed on his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren through hunting, fishing, and camping and the legacy will continue with his great-grandchildren.

Service Friday, January 22, 2021 , 1:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater.  Limited attendance due to COVID.  The service will also be livestreamed at the link below.
