Wieland, Nelda Ann
Child of God, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother met her Lord and Savior peacefully February 6, 2015 surrounded by family. Nelda is survived by her sister-in-law Frieda; 4 children Mark (Diane), Steven (Barbara), Timothy (Jill), and Ann; 8 grandchildren Jonathan (Elizabeth), Paul (Elizabeth), Matthew (Courtney), David, Joshua (Carolyn), Joseph, Abby (Matthew) Johnson, Janna Wieland (Sean) Meyer; step-grandson, Jason Blomquist and 11 great-grandchildren. She was welcomed in Paradise by her parents Charles and Bertha Cornelius; siblings Gilbert, Emil, Emma Kruger, and Lawrence; great-grandson Joel; and her beloved husband Erwin. Nelda and Erwin settled in Lake Elmo in 1967 when Erwin accepted a call from Christ Lutheran Church and where Nelda has since been a member. Though her health faltered after ninety-three years, Nelda's mind, warmth, and implacable faith never did. Those blessed to have encountered the depths of her love rest soundly knowing she is safe in the hands of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Services to be held Tuesday, February 10th at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo, MN and to be preceded by a visitation at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to Christ Lutheran Church of Lake Elmo, MN, The Gathering at Boutwells of Oak Park Heights, MN or Lakeview Hospice.
