Virginia Ruth Cerutti Glover

July 24, 1939 - January 10, 2023

The treasured daughter of Anthony Joseph Cerutti and Ruth Higgins Cerutti; the steadfast and devoted wife of husband, Guy; the ardent and stalwart mother of Kathy (Dan) Julie, (Dan) Guy Michael (Niki), Susan (Adam), James Thaddeus (deceased), John, and Steven (Maura); the proud grandmother of Tony, Emma, Megan, Anna, Isabel, Michael, Ryan, Lucy, Lily, Teresa, Mara and Ruby (Kris); beloved sister to Rita Cerutti Tetsell; Auntie to Laura and Danny, and the generous and sturdy companion to her dear friends, has died.

Together with her true love, Guy, our Mom, our Meema, filled our world with books, brilliant birthday cakes, Christmas magic, Sunday-Fundays, and LOVE . From them, we learned that God and the communion of saints are always available to actively listen to our deepest troubles, to graciously receive our gratitude, or to help find our keys.Their home has been the site of our family’s cycle of yearly celebrations, with doors flung wide open to everybody—including our dogs, who were beloved—for decades. Skilled baker and cook, the meals she made ( how many??!!)  for our big family were proof-on-a-plate of her love and care. She festooned her life with enduring, and well-tended friendships. Sewer, knitter, quilter, she finally applied her talents to the raucous art of wool rug hooking, and never looked back. Her subversive monthly, hours-long wool workshops were just a cover for the real work that happened there—deepening friendships and sharing the stuff of life together.  She smiled easily and laughed even more easily. She cared, and she showed it. Every day. So, thank you, Ginny Glover, for building the magical world of our family, and for loving us all so, so well.

Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, January 20, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI CATHLOIC CHURCH, 16770 – 13th Street South, Lake St. Croix Beach, MN with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

Memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice.
