Surrounded by family
on November 23. Survived by son, Muigiwa; daughter, Agwa; niece, Alami Steven Ogut; many, many relatives & friends. Akuthi was known for her activism on behalf of the people of South Sudan, the Anyuak people of Ethiopia and Sudan, and testified before the United Nations to bring attention to their plight. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Saturday at CHURCH OF ST. MICHAEL 611 3rd St S Stillwater with visitation one hour prior. A second service is at 1PM Saturday at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH 1616 Olive St W Stillwater. Memorials to the family preferred.
