Audrey Briggs

Audrey Marie Briggs Felac, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away February 2, 2011. Born on May 11, 1926 in St. Paul, MN, her life came full circle in the hospital setting. After graduating from White Bear Lake High School, she attended Breckenridge Hospital School of Nursing in Austin, Texas. She was a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Paul, and later worked for, and retired from, the State of Minnesota. She volunteered for many years in the community and at Bethesda Hospital, and spent her final days at St. Francis in Tulsa, OK.


She is preceded in death by her parents, E. Robert and Marie Briggs, and her brother Robert. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Robert, of Tulsa, OK; three grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Adam Dolinsky, Chelsea, and Michael; a precious great grandson, Benjamin; sisters Dorothy Jensen, Marion Luchsinger, and Marcy Hutton and husband Lyle; and many nieces and nephews.


Audrey, a generous and fun-loving woman, always believed that "life is what you make it", and she lived hers to the fullest. She treasured being with her family and friends, and enjoyed travelling, fishing, reading, and doing crosswords. She will be greatly missed by all.


Visitation will be at 10:00 AM at Church of St. Bernard, 187 W. Geranium at Rose, on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, followed by a funeral Mass and celebration of her life at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Bernard's.
