Carolyn Vitagliano

Mrs. Carolyn M. Vitagliano, age 84, passed away in Maplewood, MN, on Friday, November 25, 2011. Born May 22, 1927, in Waltham, MA, she lived in Quincy, MA and Las Vegas, NV before settling in White Bear Lake, MN. She worked at Michael's Real Estate in Quincy as a Real Estate Broker until retiring to Las Vegas. Carolyn volunteered for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the Catholic Charities in Las Vegas; in her later years she enjoyed painting and writing. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Michael Vitagliano, her mother Elizabeth Moran and father Joseph Moran of Dorchester MA, her sister Marjorie Cullinan of Weymouth, MA and Virginia Moran of Boston, MA. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Mecone of Middleboro, MA; her children, Joanne Curry of Rockland, MA, Joseph McDonough of Norton, MA and Carolyn Austin of CO; her grandchildren, Mary Resendiz and husband Gus Resendiz of MA, Heather McDonough of Quincy, MA, Holly McDonough of Broomfield, CO, Kristin Greenwood and husband Jon Greenwood of Salem, NH, David Goya of CO, Ryan Curry and wife Amy Curry of Smyrna, GA, John Goya of London, UK, Siobhan Veliotis and husband Stephen Veliotis of South Easton, MA and Mark Goya of CO; and her great-grandchildren Bryen McDonough, Nicholas Resendiz, Alexander Greenwood, Kathryn Resendiz, Abigail Sheeley-McDonough, Elijah Goya, Hannah Greenwood, Daniel Resendiz, Nevaeh Goya, Eric Veliotis and Riley Goya. Cremation has taken place; a graveside ceremony will be held at the Mt Benedict Cemetery, 409 Corey St., West Roxbury, MA 02132 at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 3 and a Memorial Mass will be held at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, MA 02169 at 11:00 AM on January 1.
