Age 96, of Mpls. Our beloved mother died gracefully on April 2nd, 2009. Charlotte (nee Bitter) was born on April 16, 1912 in Yankton, SD. Raised in Sioux City, IA. She married Joseph Thomas "Tom" Casey in Sioux City, IA on November 4, 1933. Preceded in death by parents, Edward and Beatrice Bitter; husband, Tom; sister, Lucille Busch and brother, Andrew Bitter. Survived by children, Thomas "Mike" (Sandi) of Mpls., S. Sharon Casey, O.P. of Mpls., Edward "Joe" (January) of Linwood, MI, Colleen McGilp (Doug) of Mpls. and David (partner Alane) of Durango, Co; brother,Edward Bitter of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren, Tim, Terri, Heidi, Shawn, Vickie, Tony, Pat, Sharon, Laura and Molly; Eighteen great-grandchildren and many, many cherished friends. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Mpls. for 63 years. Cooked, cleaned and took care of her beloved priests at St. Albert's rectory for 25 years. She enjoyed ceramics, playing cards and spending time with her family. A model of compassion and caring for all of us, she will be missed terribly. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 11:00AM at CHURCH OF SAINT ALBERT THE GREAT corner of 29th St. and 32nd Ave S. Mpls. Visitation Sunday, (Today) 5-8PM at BRADSHAW(McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Ave S. and I hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Creative Ageless Women c/o St. Albert's.
