Age 87 of Mpls. Passed away on April 9, 2009 from complications after hip surgery. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Nellie of almost 55 years, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Survived by daughter, Patricia(Earl) Johnson; son, David (Mary) Gabrick; grandchildren, Michael Gabrick (Erica), Tanya Deklotz (Nathan), Stephanie Benham(Tegan), Michael Johnson, and Brent Johnson (Sarah); great-grandsons, Carter, Tyler and Alexander Daniel; nieces, nephews, special friend, Dorothy Flanders and many other wonderful friends and relatives. Dan was employed by Mpls. Moline for over 43 years. After retirement he worked for Mpls. Auto Auction. He was a member of North Suburban Choir , was a life long member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a WWII Army Veteran. Dan was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved God, family, his church and country. Service Thursday 11:00AM at IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH 3620 E. 26th St., Mpls. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 6-8PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Ave So. Memorials preferred to American Society for the Blind or the American Heart Association.
