Survived by: Wife; Daughter, Sherry (Scott) Mauschbaugh; Grandchildren, Angela (Kevin) Houk, Michael (Robyn) Mauschbaugh; Great grandson, Henry Miles Houk.

Biography: Graduated from University of Minnesota School of Forestry with major in Wildlife Management in 1939. Member of the Alpha Zeta Fraternity. Employed in various positions in the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Fish and Wildlife for 41 years. He started as a laborer at the Carlos Avery Game Farm and Wildlife Food and Cover Planting Nursery. Other positions included Game Research Biologist, Are Game Manager, Federal Aid Game Projects Coordinator, Supervisor Bureau of Wildlife Development, Supervisor of Bureau of Game, Supervisor of Section of Wildlife, Deputy Director and Director of the Division of Fish and Wildlife. He retired in January of 1979.

He has been on the Boards for several organizations including; Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Turn In Poachers, National Waterbank Advisory, Pheasants Forever. Served on Wildlife Committee for the Northwest Sportsmen's Show and been a member of the Wildlife Society, North Central Section of the Wildlife Society, Ducks Unlimited, Minnesota Waterfowl Association, Minnesota Conservation Federation, Nature Conservancy, International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, National Audubon Society. Received awards from the Minnesota Chapter of Wildlife Society, Minnesota Game and Fish Employees Association, Northwest Sports Show, Minnesota Waterfowl Association and the Minnesota Conservation Federation.

He had been drafted into the United States Army as a T5 Corporal Lab Technician during W.W.II and served for almost 4 years. He worked in the 16th Evacuation Hospital serving in North Africa and Italy. He was a member of the American Legion.



Interests and hobbies: Avid fisherman and hunter. Traveled extensively with his wife and family throughout the United States (visiting all 50 states), Canada and Mexico, England, Sweden, Norway, and Scotland.
