A service for Dora A Sanders, age 80 of Stillwater, will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003, 11:00 AM at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14940 62nd St. No., Stillwater, MN. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 am prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanders died Feb. 28, 2003 at Lakeview Hospital. She was born on March 12, 1922 in Minnehaha County, South Dakota to parents Enne and Annie (Uhden) Daniels.
Mrs. Sanders was a Mpls. Police officer for 23 years, retiring in 1978. She was also a registered nurse at St. Barnabas Hospital in Mpls. for many years. She was very active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mpls., MN and at Hope Lutheran Church in Bradenton, Florida.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Harm D.; brother, Edwin; and sister, Hentietta.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Ramona) Sanders; daughter, Kathy Sanders; granddaughter, Shannon (Michael) Dinzeo; great-grandsons, Jacob and Nicholas Dinzeo.
Memorials preferred to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
