Age 90, died 5/19/2007 after a brave 10 year journey with Alzheimers. Born in Lidgerwood, ND, Dorothy was the third of 5 children born into a farm family. She graduated from high school is Sarasota, FL and later attended the North Dakota State School of Science. A self-employed seamstress and homemaker, Dorothy was married to Frank McDonald and had 3 children. She lived a full and cheerful life and was very dedicated to church and community activities. She traveled extensively and enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; four brothers; and her great-grandson, Jack. Dorothy is survived by her three children, Hugh McDonald (Mary Lou), Karen Schiller (Phil), and Mary Kay Ahnert (Steve); grandchildren, Sean and Scott McDonald, Colleen (McDonald) Foster, Michael Schiller, Alyson (Schiller) Muzila, Jesse and Seth Ahnert; and eight great-grandchildren. We will never forget her endless smiles, hugs and laughter. The family would like to thank the staff at the Minnesota Masonic Home (Bloomington) for the loving caretaking of Dorothy for the past 5 years. Visitation Wednesday, 5:00 to 7:30 pm at BRADSHAW, 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S., Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, 10:00 am at OUR LADY OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5426 12th Ave. S., Minneapolis. with visitation A½ hour before the service at the church. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rushford, MN.
