Dorothy Parkhurst

Dorothy Sarah Ann Parkhurst was born January 3, 1924 to Ted and Ida Linnell. She died peacefully on March 2 at Oak Park Senior Living. She was preceded in death by her parents in 1969, her brother Ralph in 2006, and by David, her husband of 66 years, in 2011. She will be missed by her family -- Ann and Steve Wolff, Steve and Diane Parkhurst, Doug, Sara, Maverick and Olympia Wolff, Brad, Lesley and Kingsley Wolff, Tom Wolff and Ashlane Hale. Dorothy was wonderfully kind and thoughtful, always thankful for the people in her life. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 11:00. Visitation will be one hour before the service, which will be followed by lunch at the Lowell Inn Banquet Center. Trinity is at 115 N. 4th Street. The parking ramp on 3rd Street is conveniently located between both places. Memorials to Trinity or to the donor's choice would carry on her legacy of care and concern for others.
