Elwood, Edith E. "Scotty" Age 95, Of Saint Paul Preceded in death by Wilbur, beloved husband of 57 years and four brothers, Ross, Russell, Robert and Charles Wall. Survived by son, Bill (Betsy); grandchildren, Holly (Martin), Tyler (Allison) and Nick; great-grand-children, Kai, Maya, Olivia, Aidan and Julia; many nieces and nephews. Edith (Scotty) lived an active life - grounded in her strong faith and love of family and friends. She counted her blessings and openly appreciated others, gracefully encouraging others to do the same. With her husband, a St. Paul Fire Department captain, she enjoyed a wide circle of friends, square dancing, playing cards, camping, and winters in Texas. She was also a devoted member and church lady for over 60 years at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Following her husband's death, Scotty moved to Lyngblomsten, where she continued to knit baby booties, play cards, and bring energy and humor to her new community of friends. She was the sweet solid rock of the family and a gift to all that knew her. She will be greatly missed. Memorial service Friday, October 3, 2008, 1:30 P.M. at LYNGBLOMSTEN CHAPEL, 1415 Almond Avenue, St. Paul. Private interment: Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends following the service and wishes to thank her many friends and the wonderful staff at Lyngblomsten.
