Age 91, of Augustana Care Center, previously of the Augustana Apartments
and Nokomis Square in Minneapolis, went home to be with her Heavenly
Father on June 10th, 2008, joining her parents, Nan Marie and Arvid
Morris; brother, Raymond; nephew, Thomas and niece Linda. Elsie will be
dearly missed by niece, Deborah; grand niece, Ashley; and grand nephews,
Cody, Andrew and Matthew; as well as close friend, Clodaugh Neiderheiser. Elsie attended the Minnesota Business College and worked at the Lutheran Bible Institute, the Lutheran Evangelistic Movement and Hiawatha School Administration. She served as a lifeguard and a leader in the Girl Scout organization. Known for her calm and gentle spirit and her ability to see the good in everyone, she has shown us the meaning of aging with grace. Elsie was an avid lover of the outdoors and she especially enjoyed her camping trips where she was able to experience her love of photography. Her love of the Lord, Jesus Christ in everything was evident to all who came in contact with her. A Memorial service celebrating Elsie?s life will be held Monday at 11 AM at AUGUSTANA APARTMENTS, 1509 10th Ave. S. Private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethany Lutheran Church.
