Elvernon "Vern" Odis Knutson
Passed away on July 7, 2018 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by wife, Carol Knutson (nee Madsen) and son, Carl Knutson. Survived by children, Cindy (Rick) Rogers, Sharolyn Knutson, Mark (Margaret) Knutson, Betty (Terry) Varland; grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Rogers, Kjiersten (Rob) Kinney, Christopher Rogers, Jennifer Rogers, Sarah Knutson, Grace (Jacob) Dahlberg, Kyle Knutson; great grandchildren, Carly and Will Kinney, Brayden Rogers, Lily Dowell. Vern was born and raised on a farm in Taylor, WI, then moved to Minneapolis where he met his wife of 52 years Carol. He was a Veteran of the Navy and worked at Honeywell for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990. He spent years volunteering for wheelchair sports at the Courage Center and for the Rolling Gophers.
