Franklin Dean. In loving memory. Born on March 26, 1953 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 30, 2004 at the age of 51. Franklin was a Native Dakota Language Teacher at the University of MN. He was known to his family and friends as an artist, poet, traditional dancer, master beadworker and writer. He is preceded in death by parents Paul & Donna Firesteel,and grandfather, Paul Chekpa. Survived by his only son, Ohiyesa Paul Firesteel and his mother, Ellen Neale; brothers and sisters, Richard (Pat), Rebecca (Jim), Joni, Lori, Kelly, Jay, Jamie, Donna, Jr. (Kadima),; many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & great nephews; many other family and friends. Frankie we love and miss you, may you rejoice with our Creator. Service Tuesday 11:00AM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Monday 1:00-9:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
