Passed away peacefully on February 19, 2015 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Preceded in death by parents, Mary and Howard Ellingwood; and Liz and Ray Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law, Pat Rietfort. Survived by husband, Jim; sisters, Kay and Sue; twin sister, Molly; sister-in-law, Nancy; brother-in-law, Jerry; extended family includes Brian (Missy), Chad, Nicole; grandchildren, Kaylin, Jack, Kathryn, Hannah; nieces and nephews, Korrine, Kevin, Kerry (Matt), Kim, Jay, Kris; godchildren, Kevin and Kyle, and many dear family and friends. Gigi spent her professional career serving and supporting seniors. From 1979-1991 Gigi served as Program Coordinator for the Senior Companion Program in Minneapolis. From 1991 until her death Gigi was the Senior Program Coordinator for ISD 622. Gigi demonstrated her commitment to seniors by overseeing the Meals on Wheels Program and by providing volunteer opportunities and activities through the Gladstone Community Center. Gigi will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, kindness, organizational skills, and sense of humor. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 12:30 PM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.
