Preceded in death by husband of 70 years, Edgar W. "Ted" Blanch, Sr. and son-in-law, Philemon C. Roy, Jr. Survived by sister, Eleanor Reese Slaton, Pompano Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Jeanne (Warren) Hiss, Parkville, MD; son, Edgar W. "Ted" Blanch, Jr. (Nim), Boerne, TX; daughter, Barbara B. Roy, St. Mary's Point, MN; granddaughters, Kim Blanch, Hopkins, MN, Vicki Blanch, Brainerd, MN, Jena Roy, Boston, MA, Heidi Hubbard (Rob), Lakeland, MN, Beth Jenkyn (Oliver), San Francisco, CA; grandsons, Michael Blanch (Lynne), Brainerd, MN, Ward Blanch, Jackson Hole, WY, and Christopher Roy, Bigfork, MT; 16 great-grandchildren. Jean loved her family, tending us in times of joy, sorrow and need. She was our biggest fan. Her youthful spirit flourished in her perpetual interest in others, especially children. The family is deeply grateful to Marilyn Otten, Gram's companion and aide these past 6 years. Private service to be held. In keeping with Jean's happy life, may all families enjoy quality time together.
