Born April 2, 1919, passed away August 18, 2012. Preceded in death by husband, Roger; brothers, Ed and Owen Huesmann; and grandson, Craig Vick. Survived by children, Sandy (Bob) Vick of Woodbury and Dave (Judy) Zeipelt of Forest Lake; daughter by choice, Danuta Warec of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Chris (Missy) Vick, Kelly Vick, Cliff (Laura) Vick, Renee (Ed) DeBuhr and Greg (Beth) Zeipelt; great grandchildren, Tina, Jessica, Becky, Jeremy, Ryan and Lydia; great great grandchildren, Sophia, Dominic and Josephine. Joan loved children, devoted many years to foster care. Had a lake home and summers that were very special to her. Joan enjoyed reading and crocheting in her later years. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. To her request there will be no memorial services. Donations in Joan's memory can be sent to The Salvation Army.
