Of White Bear Lake
Passed away peacefully after a long hard struggle with metastic prostate cancer. Preceded in death by brother, Arnold. Survived by wife of 57 years, Phyllis; son, Michael (Carol); daughters, Deborah (Chuck) Vogland, and Sherry Miron. Proud grandpa to Eric (Sarah), Travis (Erin), and Lauren. Great-grandpa to Vincent. Brother to Sylvia Wegleitner and Dorothy (Ray) Halgren and very special "Uncle Sonny" to seven nieces and nephews and their families. Also survived by other relatives and friends and our caring WBL neighbors. Leonard served in the Korean War and was a retired St. Paul Police Officer and member of the S.P.P.P. Association. After retiring in 1982 he enjoyed many years with his family and grandchildren. A celebration of Leonard's life will be Tuesday, 7:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the HealthEast Hospice nurses. Their invaluable services enabled Leonard to remain at home with his family until the very end. Their care, compassion and support is greatly appreciated. Special thanks, to a special team. God bless all of you and the work you do. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to HealthEast Hospice.
