Lyman E. Geary, 83, of Stillwater Minnesota
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10th.
His was a life of accomplishments. Among them are his thirty five years of service to the Independent School District #834 School Board (where he served multiple terms as chairman), being named the Washington County School Board Member of The Year in 1980, being chosen as the Stillwater "Person of The Year" in 1995, and having January 26, 1996 proclaimed "Lyman Geary Day" by both Minnesota Governor Arnie Carlson and the Mayor of Stillwater.
There will be a "celebration of life gathering" at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater Minnesota on Thursday, February 17th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18th at Christ Lutheran Church in Marine Minnesota at 11:00 am with a social gathering time one hour prior to services.
Lyman is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth. He is survived by his children Shawn and Kevin; daughters-in-law Leesa and Sandy; brother Bruce (sister in law Doris); grandchildren Connor, Logan, Amanda, Kerissa, and Nicholas and great grandchild Taylor.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Leah Legato whose dedicated care giving added years to Lyman's life and life to Lyman's years.
Memorials preferred are the Partnership Plan Stillwater and Christ Lutheran Church in Marine.
