Marshall, Margaret Lee nee Hoover. Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt & Dear Friend. Age 86, of Stillwater. Entered eternal life in heaven while surrounded by family on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Good Samaritan Center in Stillwater, MN following long-term complications suffered from a stroke in 2005. Margaret is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Diane Carol and Donald Stanley Anderson of Stillwater, MN, son Randall David Marshall of Shawnee, KS, son and daughter-in?law Rodney Eugene and Francis Kay of Shawnee, KS; Grandchildren Kiersten Elaine Burgess (Kevin) of Stillwater, Jason Fletcher Anderson (Ceallaigh) of Robbinsdale, MN, Jessica Morgan Anderson of Stillwater, and Shelley Lynette Marshall of Shawnee, KS; Great-grandchildren Kylie Sierra Burgess, Kaitlyn Savannah Burgess, and William Fletcher Anderson.; Also, one surviving sister, Adella Magdalene Bates of Hutchinson, KS, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leo Marshall, of Wichita, KS and her parents, John Jacob Hoover and Bessie Maude Hoover, nee Van De Venter, of Mooreland, OK; also her sisters and brothers including Mary Capitola Carson, Elma Lucille Sullivan, Homer Theodore Hoover, Bessie Carolyn Clark, Inez Emily Ricketts, John Jacob Hoover & Jennie Madeline Berry. Following graduation from Mooreland High School, Margaret moved to Wichita, KS where she enrolled in business courses learning shorthand, typing and other secretarial skills. She was primarily employed by The Boeing Company and Cessna, retiring at age 65. Most of all she was a loving wife and mother giving selflessly to her family and friends. She was also an excellent seamstress taking occasional tailoring classes to refine her skills. She was a long time member of Olivet Baptist Church in Wichita. After retiring she moved to Moberly, MO and then to Merriam, KS in 2003. Margaret was a proud member (#836231) of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution with an active membership in the Saint Croix River Valley Chapter. Her American Revolutionary ancestor, Jacob Van De Venter (#A118668) of VA was an Ensign in the Loudoun County VA Militia. A private family service is planned in Stillwater. A memorial service is scheduled in Kansas City, KS next Saturday, August 9th. Memorials may be made to any charity of your choice in Margaret's name. We will always love you and miss you, Mother Dear.
