Age 67. Passed away January 31, 2011 at her home. Preceded in death by parents, Gabe and Wilma Torguson. Survived by sister, Janet Nelson (Steven); daughters, Sarah Fahnhorst (Peter) and Anne Wogen (Jeff); and their father, Michael Nesset; and many close relatives and friends. She was a strong defender of the English language and a lifelong educator. Marian enjoyed her dog Kady, her visits to Lake Superior, English literature, and a good murder mystery. She had a beautiful soprano voice and enjoyed singing throughout her life. She was very much her own person, a unique individual who often forged her own path. Memorial Service Tuesday, 1 PM at ST. CLEMENT'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 901 Portland Ave., St. Paul. Gathering of family and friends Monday, 5-8 PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S., Mpls. Please direct any memorials to the Animal Humane Society.
