Otterness, Marlin Eugene, born October 28, 1929 in Willmar, Mn; died September 3, 2003 in Minneapolis, Mn. Preceded in death by parents, Rostella and Harry Otterness. Survived by wife, Joann; children, Mike (Beth), Kathy (Larry) Proskin, John (Chris), and David (Sue); grandchildren, Tony, Jessica, Justin, Walter, Laura, and Andrew; sister, Ruby Westbury; brother, Dale (Rosie); brother-in-law, Glen (Ann) Sodergren; aunt, Violet (Fred) Lobitz; numerous other relatives and friends. Korean War Army Veteran and member of American Legion Gopher Post #44; retired 40 year employee with Milwaukee Railroad. Longtime member of Bethlehem Covenant Church, active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and member of Hiawatha Y's Men Service Club. Memorial Service Monday,11:30 AM at BETHLEHEM COVENANT CHURCH, 3141 43rd Ave S, Mpls. Visitation Sunday (TODAY)4-7 PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South. Private Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
