Born 8-27-1911 in Bowdon, ND. At age 7 he and his family moved to White Bear Lake where he has lived since. Married Mildred Isakson in 1933. Preceded in death by parents, Nellie (nee Conger) and Ernie Newton; siblings, Verna, Hobart, Ezra, Lovilla and Esther. His beloved wife Mildred died in 1992. His two daughters, Betty Lou (Dick) Lehmann and Ellen Louise (Larry) Baltena were both age 64 when they died of illness. Inspite of such personal losses, Norman continued being very upbeat and determined. Norman is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life career was being a machinist at Waterous. Hobbies that he excelled in included golfing, bridge and fishing. He especially enjoyed playing the harmonica on numerous occasions. For over 20 years, he and Mildred ?snowbirded? winters in McAllen, TX. Norman was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church of WBL. Service Wednesday, 2:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96 (one mile west of 35E), White Bear. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
