Died peacefully at home on July 21, 2012. Preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Ronald. Survived by wife, Jeanne; children, Cathy Maslowski, Dick Jr. (Kelly), Karen Sanderson (Mark), and Tom; step-children, David Nelson (Leah), Michael Nelson, and Barb Nelson; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother, Leonard (Jean); sister-in-law, Dorothy; former wife, Jan. Lifetime parishioner of Saint Adalbert. Attended Cretin High School, after which he joined the Air Force. Real estate investor and owner of Twin City Paper Supply. Dick enjoyed life to the fullest and was active in many organizations. Longtime member of Midway Lions Club. Travelled, taught and competed in ballroom dancing. Member of the North End Business Association. Saint Paul Winter Carnival: Prince of the North Wind 1998 and 2001, King Boreas 2003, served on the Carnival Board and UGC, Sal Lobaido Award recipient. Inducted into the Old Timers Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 11:00 A.M. at CHURCH OF SAINT ADALBERT, 265 Charles Avenue, St. Paul. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice at Magnolial, as well as one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
