Robert Feldman

d. May 26, 2006

Feldman, Robert Paul Age 59. With grace and dignity, of lymphoma, most likely caused by massive exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the tragic Vietnam War. As he wished, Bob died at home, embraced by his beloved wife and daughter. Bob was a gift to all of us with his intelligence and wit and strong opinions about what was right and wrong with the world. He loved golf and travel and his red TT, but mostly he loved the wonderful network of family and friends who surrounded him on his final journey. He lived a full, happy life; he just deserved many more years. Yet he never complained, but rather faced his struggle with a courage and strength that we were privileged to share, and that will be a model for us all to emulate. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Paul, Sr., whose passing in 1965 left a hole that was never filled. He is survived by his lifetime companion and soul mate, Nancy; his treasured daughter, Sara Jane; his loving mother, Evelyn and stepfather, Leonard Lees; and his much-loved siblings and spouses, Trish (Dan) Andrae, Joe (Carol) Feldman, Jim (MaryT.) Feldman, Rich (Diane) Feldman, Mary Liz (Dave) Gessert and Cathy (Dylan) Jones, as well as their children and new grandchild, Brody. Bob will be sorely missed by so many others, including Nancy's family who became his family over the years: mother-in-law, Ellen, Pete and Judy, Ann, Patty and Mark, Jayne and Beth; his lunch and golfing buddies, Cary, Mark and Dave; and other special friends, Marge and Michael, Mary and Mark, Julie and Dale, Bev and Rick, and Estelle and Gary. Special thanks to Dr. Gary Grammens whose humane care and empathy made Bob's tough journey a little easier. Visitation Thursday 5-8 PM at BRADSHAW 678 South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul.
