Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends of pancreatic and liver cancer. Survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Joyce; children, Scott (Kelly), Shawn (Sarah) and Mitch (Sarah); dear grandchildren, Hannah, Douglas, Norah, Gabriel and Carolyn; and his beloved friends and adopted ?brother and sis?, Gary and Sheryl Pearson; friend and neighbor, Karen; in-laws, Glenn (Joan), Linda (Gene), Elaine (Jack), David, Kent and Ron; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Bob delighted in gatherings of family and friends especially St. Pat?s Day. Respected by many for his talents as an award winning woodcarver, musician, coach, gunsmith and leathersmith. Bob will be remembered as a spiritual, gentle man with a great sense of humor, a devoted husband and father who particularly loved his grandchildren and who always encouraged family and friends. Bob?s family wishes to extend their greatest gratitude to longtime physician and friend, Dr. Dave Thorson, HE Hospice especially Carla and nurse Julie, and the physicians Dr. Tim Sieloff, Dr. John Seng and staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. A Celebration of Bob?s Life will be Tuesday, 11:30 A.M. at ST. ANDREWS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service. A lunch provided by Bob?s favorite restaurant, Yarusso?s will follow the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Robert Scott Flynn Foundation for education and charities.
