Memorial service for Robert D. Murphy, age 77, of Stillwater will be held Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 North 4th Street, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Private interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Robert died Friday, July 30, 2004 at his home after a brief illness with Cancer. He was born March 15, 1927 in Stillwater to George and Mable Murphy. Robert was a retired Washington County Deputy Sheriff, a 50 year member of St Johns #1 A.F. & A.M. and Stillwater American Legion #48. He was also a member of Stillwater VFW #323, a former member of Stillwater Country Club, and an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is preceded in death by parents; son, Patrick; brothers, Richard & Jerold; sister, Maryann Schroeder.
Robert is survived by wife, Carol; daughter, Margaret; grandsons, Robert (Jenny) & Joseph; beloved great-grandsons, Anthony & Austin; sister, Marjorie Erickson; brother, George, Jr; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church.
