Rodney Magnuson

d. August 5, 2012

Magnuson, Rodney A.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jean and treasured sister Marian (Terry) Paige; children Dan (Debbi) Magnuson; Laurie (Bill) Hamen; Kristin Seuntjens; Beth (Mike) Dempsey; grandchildren Katie, Libby and Ben Magnuson; Drew, Anna, James and Maddie Slagle; Jacob, Rachelle, Hunter and Samantha Seuntjens; Charlie and Lily Dempsey; 'adopted' granddaughter Daesha Henderson and great granddaughter Teagan Slagle.

Rod was first and foremost a loving husband and father, a good friend to all, a mentor to thousands of young people as a teacher and coach, a proverbial fountain of good advice, a fantastic artist, and a stand-out athlete all of his life. He loved his friends from Lauderdale/Saint Anthony Park, his friends and teammates from Murray High School '53 and the University of Minnesota '57, his friends from Minnesota hockey and friends from Keller golf course. He battled cancer like he lived his life - with grace, humor and tenacity. He will be greatly missed.
