91, of White Bear Lake, MN Passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Cerenity Care Center in White Bear Lake, MN. He was born on March 5, 1920 in Eleva, WI, the son of Harvey and Cora (Skogstad) Havenor. Roy received his degree in Mortuary Science from the University of Minnesota. He was called into service and served as a Lieutenant in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He was always proud of this service. Roy opened Havenor Funeral Chapel in White Bear Lake, MN in 1953. Roy was active in many charities including Food Shelf. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, the American Legion and the VFW; President of the Chamber of Commerce; Voted Rotarian of the year; was awarded a lifetime membership in the Lion's Club and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Pauline of White Bear Lake; a son, Scott David (Fei) Havenor of CA; a daughter, Linda Rae Havenor of CA; grandchildren, Anton David and Cassandra; a sister, Florence Ludwikoski; a sister in law, Marie "Lavern" Havenor; many nieces, nephews and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle; his parents; brothers, Harold and Harvey Havenor and sisters, Irma Mullen and Muriel Dicus. Memorial Services will be held on Monday June 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, MN. There will be an opportunity to see and visit with the family from 10:00 AM until time of Service. Graveside services will be at the Eleva Cemetery in Eleva, WI on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.
