Loving Wife, Mother, Friend


Age 74 of Stillwater passed away on October 25, 2011. Born and raised in Pecatonica, IL. Sara graduated in 1958 from the Swedish American School of Nursing in Rockford, IL and worked as an RN for 15 years. Her skill and care carried on as a volunteer for many organizations through the remainder of her life. Her courage and strength in living with multiple sclerosis inspired many. She cherished family, especially time with her grandchildren Carl and Eileen. Preceded in death by parents, Elizabeth (Sloan) and Arnold Marks, sister, Martha and infant brother Thomas. Survived by her husband of 53 years, David; daughters, Nancy Emerson of Moorhead, MN and Cheryl (Paul) Resnick of Peoria, IL and their children, Carl and Eileen; sister, Judy Klinger of Pecatonica, IL; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2 PM at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 6201 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater. Gathering one hour prior to the service.
