Velvet Wing

Velvet Lynn (McNeil) Wing, age 56, passed away on April 8, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; sons, Michael Anthony (Branisha) Cheramie, John Paul (Jay) Cheramie; grandson on the way, Jackson Isiah Cheramie; father, John McNeil; siblings, David (Ann) McNeil, Josie (Guy) Swagart, Eddie McNeil, Evie (John) Frisch, Charley (Robert) Bingham; many nieces, nephews, friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel; and sister, Bonnie.

Velvet was a proud Army veteran who loved the outdoors, gardening, camping, and fishing. Along with her sister and husband, she carried on their mother's love for cooking and canning food. For Velvet, everything was about her family and friends, and she always had concern for everyone above herself. She cared very deeply for everyone she got to know. She was a very proud mother and soon-to-be grandmother. She will be missed.

A devoted Christian and servant of the Lord (Col 3:23-24, Luke 4:8), she had an incredible love for Jesus (John 3:16). Her trust in God and preparation for salvation was immeasurable (Phil 4:6-7, Prov 3:5-6). She enjoyed spreading the Word and praising God every opportunity and breath she had (Psalms 150).
