Passed away July 4, 2015. Preceded in death by wife Margaret. Survived by daughter Kathleen Henderson (Dick); son Matt Grimes; grandsons Andrew C. Nelson, Nicholas M. Grimes and Jacob C. Grimes; siblings Mike, Marilyn, Candace, Barb and Tim; special friend Peppi; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Clayton was a decorated combat wounded Korean Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a 60 year member of Carpenters Local 87 in St. Paul. He served as president of Carpenters Local 87 for 20 years. He was a business representative for Carpenters Local 87, executive secretary of MN Statewide Council of Carpenters and Joiners and a Sargent in the Ramsey County Sheriff's Reserve. He loved dogs, hunting, walking in the woods, motorcycle riding, going to auctions and collecting antiques.
Visitation Friday 4-8PM at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice Street. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10AM at CHURCH OF ST. AGNES, 548 Lafond Avenue. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
